The simple answer (I would say) is No, to all of these questions. Access to a well-grounded understanding of all the relevant words, phrases, and global contexts is fundamental, in each case. This likely comes from years of study, enough to know the significance of the various cross-references, in relation to the possible motivations for each question. Often, knowledge of secular history and the history of religious discussion is important, even the religious/ cultural/ language background of the particular housholder(s), so as to know how to lay the groundwork so that each answer is received by each learner as the holy spirit intends. — Spike Tassel.

Questions for JW's
by UnDisfellowshipped inquestions for reniaa and jw's to think about:.
1:) can you explain, using only the bible, why we should believe that today's governing body of jehovah's witnesses is the sole channel of communication between god and mankind?.
2:) can you explain, using only the bible, why we should believe that daniel's prophecy about king nebuchadnezzar's 7 years of insanity has a secondary meaning, and why we should believe that this secondary meaning is pointing toward jesus becoming king in 1914?.

Are You Paul or are you Saul?
by reniaa inthis was the same man at different times in his life yet he changed his name because he completely changed his ideals and goals too.
both were extremely zealous, both thought they were doing gods work, both thought they were working for the greater good.. acts 8:3 (new international version)3but saul began to destroy the church.
going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.. soul thought gods work was to destroy the christians but paul.... acts 20: 19i served the lord with great humility and with tears, although i was severely tested by the plots of the jews.

Reniaa, I am reminded of the words of Jude, especially verses 10 to 13, and verses 17 to 25. Now is especially the time to Keep on the Watch! — Spike Tassel.

Thinking about joining a youth group...
by Strider Arekksu inyeah... as the title states i was thinking of going into a youth group for bible studying.
since the jw organization kind of stopped that and moved it to like a 30 minute session at the school and other meeting.
they said it was for us to study personally or with our families.

• Strider, "accurate" and "truth" are 2 weasel words. they mean different things to different people, depending on their standards. If we are really Jehovah's Witnesses, we will have Jehovah's backing by using his standards: Word (the Bible) and the direction from his Organization to decide what "accurate" and "truth" should be.
• If you don't like cliques and doing your Family Worship night alone, why not mention these concerns to an elder you respect. Perhaps he'd help you so that you can find a better way, one that would actually regain your spiritual focus and make Jehovah's heart rejoice. After all, there's the narrow way and the broad. So, we each must choose carefully. There are everlasting consequences. Life or death. It can't be both.

Does the JW religion fall under organised religion?
by LouBelle inis not all religion organised and man ruled with their traditions and list of dos and don'ts?
surely then all religion is part of the babylon the great?
including the jws?.
-
Spike Tassel
As has been expressed in various ways (both in this thread and elsewhere) JWs (those with the backing of Jehovah himself) are against all forms of False Organized Religion, a.k.a. Babylon the Great. True Organized Religion, a.k.a. Jehovah's Kingdom, is riding to victory under the leadership of King Michael, a.k.a. the resurrected Jesus Christ in heavenly power.

Whoever Jehovah the Creator approves, may I consistently register my voice WITH them in ways that Jehovah approves. Whoever Jehovah the Creator disapproves, may I consistently register my voice AGAINST them in ways that Jehovah approves. — Spike Tassel.

From an intolerant regime's perspective, perhaps. That's a typical false charge, though.

• To TD (Post 1884): Loving-kindness has sometimes meant stating the truths that others may not have had the courage to speak out on. Mythology and fantasy and fraud, whether religious or secular, always need to be exposed and opposed. Remember that even Jesus used terms like "whitewashed graves" to particular audiences in particular instances. There is a context to everything. There is a time and a place for chastisement and rebuke, and one for consoling and tenderness. It depends on what is needed to take people's minds off of themselves, and onto the Kingdom message in all its forms. It's about loving the sinners and hating sin.
• To Black Sheep (Post 2525): May I always consider the source of the claim of truth, and treat it accordingly.

The Kingdom that fulfills Daniel 2:44 is an organized religion, according to the post-Snare-&-Racket age understanding, but since it is not "of this world", it will remain for time and eternity.

• To blondie (Post 27094): It would seem to me that "both sides of their mouth" are actually trying to say the same thing on this one, if I understand the problem correctly. Note that the "Organized Religion" is expanded to mean "the most influential section of Organized Religion, namely, Christendom with all its babel of religious sects and denominations" according to the example you cited. The problem is in the shortening that takes place in the subheading. That is a difficulty of trying to encapsulate any argument in a sound-byte. I hope this helps.
• To blondie (Post 27097): Again, it is important to note the full expression "organized religion of the world". The phrase "of the world" should also be highlighted, since that expression is an important nuance.
